Premier Ford has issued an order that would criminalize ordinary Canadians who contribute to the fundraising for CONVOY for FREEDOM 2022.
A great and relentless effort must now be made to move the Members of the Legislature to oppose this threat. Call, email, make and send video appeals. Peacefully and respectfully vist their riding offices locally if you are in Ontario.
Convince the members of any and all parties to stand against the open threat to our democratic and mobility rights.
Emboldened, the Ottawa Police Chief has made a statement in which he has threatened all CANADIANS to not exercise their democtratic rights and mobility rights. He warned us not to join the demonstration in our nation’s capital city.
This has now become something that goes far beyond covid mandates because the GOVERNMENTS are threatening all Canadians regardless of whether or not you are for or against those mandates. THEY have raised the stakes. The federal Liberal government, the provincial Conservative government, and the government in our country’s capital city.
And now each of us, near or far, will respond, one way or another.
Respond with a sheepish shrug and that will be stand as your answer to being threatened like this. Respond by showing up at a demonstration and contributing to the fundraising is another way to answer that threat.
Seeking out and reaching out to shake the hand of someone you may have disagreed with over covid mandates, and standing together against these orders, that goodwill gesture is yet another very tangible answer. There will be many other ways to respond.
Call or visit or email as many ONTARIO provincial reps as you can. Contact their staff to relay your message. This has become a threat that is not limited to Ontario. It is a threat directed at ALL Canadians everywhere.
Why appeal to the elected reps in the ONTARIO LEGISLATURE?
They have the democratic authority to strike down the emergency declaration and all of the orders that flow from it.

Disallowance of emergency by Assembly
7.0.9 (1) Despite section 7.0.7, the Assembly may by resolution disallow the declaration of emergency under section 7.0.1 or the extension of an emergency. 2006, c. 13, s. 1 (4).
Same (2) If the Assembly passes a resolution disallowing the declaration of emergency or the extension of one, any order made under subsection 7.0.2 (4) is revoked as of the day the resolution passes. 2006, c. 13, s. 1 (4).
FOR EMPHASIS: "the Assembly may by resolution disallow the declaration of emergency".
Peacefully, fight, fight, fight.

It would appear that the federal minority government of Liberal Party leader Trudeau has moved to supersede the potential dissallowance of the Ontario emergency and has now declared a national emergency. This will bring martial law in all but name. The threat has indeed been constructed to reach each Canadian no matter where you are.
